Hunting Camp

We setup an early Hunting Camp. We brought the 5th-wheel up for some bird hunting. We love to camp in the woods. It is just the most peaceful place to be. We never really have a successful hunt but, we do enjoy being here. The weather is great this year. It is fall so the trees look gorgeous, all those deep reds and bright yellows. There is a light breeze during the day and at night the sky is so clear that you can lay on your back in the meadow a see every star in the heavens. This is by far the most beautiful area on earth.

With that being said, I am sure you understand the reason why you will never hear a word about the location of this paradise.  Sorry.

Black Creek State Forest Campground

This state forest campground is located near Sanford, MI.  Black Creek feeds Sanford Lake. There are three wagon wheel circles of sites.  Most of the sites have water access to Black Creek.  You can fish right from your campsite.  The sites are large and wooded.  There are no hookups, this is primitive camping.  Potable water and trash receptacles are available.

Good Bye to a Friend

This is a SAD day. I had to wave goodbye to a loved one for the last time.

I am so sorry to see you go. Have a good life my friend!   :(

Another Bent Awning Tube

We called the dealer to inform them that the new awning tube they installed was also damaged. They will order a new one again. These trips are getting ridiculous.

Valley Plaza RV Resort

We decided to go back to Valley Plaza RV Resort located in Midland, MI. This is a nice park and is not to far from our home. In fact, sometimes it is hard to feel like we are really going camping because it is so close to where we live. I do have to say that for the price it is a pretty good value.

Bent Awning Tube

We had to take our 5th wheel in to have the awning tube replaced. The dealer told us it was bad when they showed the unit to us. While the trailer was there we told them to replace a leaking hot water tank valve. They were real good about getting us in for service. We did have to wait several hours for them to do the work. The dealer is a couple of hours away from our home, so we had to wait for it instead of just dropping it off. Hope we are all fixed now.

Black River

This holiday weekend we camped along the Black River located in northern Michigan. This is for primitive camping, there are no hookups.  You must be totally self contained to camp here.  If you are prepared for this type of camping you will experience one of the most beautiful areas on earth.
